I have twenty six bones in each foot,
elaborately working with muscles, tendons
and ligaments.
They are evolutionary phenomena -
good for running after wounded deer
and fleeing enemies.
Flexible and able to shift to
maintain balance -
my feet are structurally perfect.
Even still, it's hard to stand when
I'm sad.
